Wilda Louise Landis

Wilda Louise Landis, age 77, of Buckhannon, WV died Wednesday, September 19, 2007 at Holbrook’s Nursing Home in Buckhannon. She was born November 30, 1929 in Buckhannon, a daughter of the late Riley and Alice Lettie Cutright Smith. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two husbands, James William Cobb and Ward F. Landis; two sons, James  and Ralph Edward Cobb; one brother, Haymon Smith and one sister, Rita Burr. She is survived by one daughter, Mary Alice Hadsock and husband Arthur of Ellamore, WV; two sons, Erwin “Butch” Cobb of Arizona and Ronald Stephen Cobb; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a homemaker and a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She enjoyed gardening and spending time with her family. Friends will be received from 6-8 PM, Friday, September 21, 2007 at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Cancer Society in Wilda’s name.
