Russell “Sonny” Wilson
Russell “Sonny” Wilson, age 63, of Rock Cave, WV died Friday, April 6, 2007 at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Buckhannon, WV. He was born May 15, 1943 in Roane County, WV, a son of the late Denver and Dolpha Paxton Wilson. On September 27, 1969 he married Barbara V. Mooney who survives. Also surviving are two sons, Carlos Wilson of Elkins, WV and Russell Wilson, Jr. of Rockford, IL; two daughters, Cassandra Wilson of Rock Cave and Rhonda Wilson of Belvedere, IL and two sisters, Rebecca White of Clarksville, TN and Anna Mae Carpenter of Tryon, NC. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two sisters, Doris Brisendine and Evelyn Wilson. Mr. Wilson was an Equipment Operator. Friends will be received Monday, April 9, 2007 from 11 AM –2 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held 2 PM Monday at the funeral home with the Rev. Kenneth Carpenter and Ed Reger officiating. Burial will follow in the Heavner Cemetery. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.polingstclair.com.
