Charles “Joe” Lamb, age 75, of Ellamore, WV, died Monday, May 13, 2024, at the West Virginia Caring Hospice Center in Elkins, WV. He was born July 26, 1948, a son of the late Warren and Alverta Miller Lamb. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Louise and Sarah Ann Lamb and one brother, Butch Lamb. “Joe” is survived by two sisters, Clarcie Shaffer and husband Kenny of Ellamore, WV and Regina Simmons and husband Edward of Charlotte, NC; four nieces, Heather Simmons and fiancé Joe Motto of Charlotte, Jennifer Shaffer Gonzalez of Concord, NC, Pam Shaffer and Kenny Brantley of NC and Christina Waybright and husband Marty of Belington, WV; two nephews, KJ Shaffer of Ellamore and Charles Shaffer and fiancée Amber of Elkins; two great nieces, Brianna White and husband Noah of KS and Aubrey K. Shaffer of Hodgesville, WV and one great nephew, Austin Waybright and wife Brooke of Belington. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the Staff at WV Caring Hospice Center in Elkins, WV. In honoring “Joe’s” wishes he will be cremated. A Memorial Service will be held 12 Noon on Saturday, June 1, 2024 at the Mt. Union United Methodist Church with Pastor Gary Phillips and Rev. Ralph Miller officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Union Cemetery. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.polingstclair.com. Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
